A Psychological biopic set in the heart of Vancouver, following the Imam of a mosque who becomes an addict after being wrongly prescribed Opioids , He must battle his demons between faith and addiction to find his Hidaayah (Guidance) to life.
"Hidaayah" - A tale of a revered faith leader, Imam Fawad Kalsi, whose unwavering compassion and dedication to his community earns him the love and admiration of all. But when he is struck down by pancreatitis and prescribed Opioids , his descent into addiction threatens to destroy everything he holds dear.
Trapped in the vicious cycle of overprescription born dependency, Fawad fights to hold on to his work, relationships, and faith. But when he hits rock bottom, he stumbles upon a glimmer of hope in the form of a controversial treatment - IBOGAINE.
Embarking on a journey of self-discovery, Fawad must confront his demons and rediscover the strength of his faith. With the help of ibogaine, he rises from the ashes and proves that even in the darkest of times, hope can be found. A story of redemption, Hidaayah shines a light on the power of faith, family, and the human spirit.

This crisis transcends all boundaries, affecting individuals from all walks of life - from children to respected community leaders.
With our film, we aim to shine a spotlight on the issue of unintentional addiction and spark a conversation about the need for increased resources and support for those impacted by the crisis.

It would aim to convey the struggle and inner turmoil that Fawad experiences during his addiction, as well as the hope and triumph he finds through his journey of self-discovery and redemption. The film would likely make use of powerful cinematography, intense scenes, and deep character development to fully immerse the audience in Fawad's story.
